Rock in the Park

end of May or beginning of June

Rock in the Park – Nuremberg rocks the summer

Since 1993, the music festival “Rock in the Park” is taking place every year in May or June. The event is simultaneously on stage in the north as “Rock at the Ring“. The beginning was “Rock in Vienna”. One year later, organizers changed the location and went to the airport area in Munich-Riem. Since 1997, the festivals have now been held in Nuremberg, originally at Frankenstadion to be precise but are now taking place at Volkspark Dutzendteich for a few years. The event is followed by about 60,000 visitors every year.

Rock in the Park – A stage for stars

Over the years, Rock in the Park really turned into a very popular event. Tickets are mostly sold out far in advance. Visitors get to see a wide cross-section through all facets of rock music. At the first concert, bands and artists such as KISS, Zucchero or Die Ärzte performed on stage and over the years, the scope of artists just became wider and wider. In the past years, music fans saw concerts of Rammstein, Bad Religion, Sportfreunde Stiller or Motörhead and visitors are setting new records over and over again every year.
